Independent Variable A variable whose value determines the value of other variables.
Dependent Variable A mathematical variable whose value is determined by the value assumed by an independent variable.
Input is the number you put in to get the output
Output is the act of turning out; production
Domain the set of all possible input value
Range A set of all possible outputs
Vertical Line Test Is when you draw a line through it to see if it passes if it goes through one time its passes if goes through 2 or more times its not.
Coordinate Plane a plane spanned by the x-axis and y-axis in which the coordinates of a point are its distance.
Evaluate to determine or set the value or amount
Function Notation It's a way to indicate that an equation is a function.
Linear of, consisting of, or using lines
Common Difference the difference between any two consecutive terms
