Coefficient | The number that is multiplied by a variable in an algebraic expression Example-6x+5 the coefficient is 6 |
Com unitive property of addition | The ordering which numbers are added dose not change the sum of the numbers |
Algebraic expression | A mathematical phrase that has at least one variable and one operation |
Substitution | The replace a variable with a number |
Variable | A quantity that can change or vary, often represented with a letter |
Associative property of addition | The way numbers are grouped dose not affect the sum |
Commutative property of multiplication | The order in which numbers are multiplied dose not change the product of the numbers |
