Linear Function

Function A special relationship between values. Each of its input values gives back exactly one output value.
Domain The set of all "x" values of a function.
Range The set of all "y" values of a function.
Variable A symbol for a number we don't know yet. It is usually a letter like x or y.
Expression Numbers and/or symbols and operators (such as + and ×) grouped together that show the value of something.
Equation A mathematical statement that two things are the same, using mathematical symbols.
Algebraic Expression A mathematical phrase that can contain ordinary numbers, variables (like x or y) and operators (like add,subtract,multiply, and divide).
