What is the location of LU 1? Laterosuperior to the sternum, 1 cun below LU 2, at the level of the 1st intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
What is a main function of LU 1? Opens the Lungs
What is the point category for LU 1? Front Mu Alarm Point, crossing point of the hand greater yin lung channel and the foot greater yin spleen channel
What is the location of LU 5? On the cubital crease, in the depression at the radial side of the biceps brachii. Located with elbow slightly flexed.
What is the point category of LU 5? He-Sea point, water point
What is special about LU 5? It is a heat clearing point.
What is the location of LU 7? Superior to the styloid process of the radius, 1.5 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist, between the brachia-radialis muscle and the tendon of the long abductor muscle of the thumb.
What are the categories for LU 7? Network point of the lung channel, command point of the head and neck, and Opening point of the Ren channel.
What is the location of LU 9? At the radial end of the cubital of the transverse cubital crease, in the depression between the radial artery and the tendon of abductor pollicis longs.
What are the point categories for LU 9? Source point of the lung, Shu stream/earth point of the lung, influential point of vessels.
What is special about LU 9? Supplemental/tonifying point and for vascular/artterial problems.
What is the location of LU 11? On the radial side of the thumb, 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail.
What is special about LU 11? It is a heat clearing point.
What is the point category for LU 11? Jing well, wood point
