TermDefinition
Congress (n) The group of people who make the laws of a country. The US Congress includes the Senate and the House of Representatives.
reelect (v) to elect for another term in office
senator (n) A person who works in the Senate
Senate (n) The smaller of the two groups in the US Congress who discuss and make the laws of the country.
House of Representatives (n) The larger of the two groups in the US Congress who discuss and make the laws of the country
term (n) the time that an elected official can be in office.
population (n) The total number of people who live in a place, like a country, state, or city.
oath (n) a formal and serious promise to tell the truth or to do something
federal (adj) Having to do with a national government that includes many states or provinces, etc.
