Electrical energy energy that an object has because it has charged particles.
Energy the ability to cause changes in matter or to make things happen.
Light energy energy you can see that moves in waves.
Sound energy that caused by things vibrating
Thermal energy- the movement of particles causing heat
Light:
Reflection the bouncing of light from a surface
Transmitted the passing of light through objects
Absorbed when light
Refracted occurs when light bent as it
Lenses are used to refract or bend light. You can find these in glasses and a microscope.
Sound:
Vibration the back and forth movement of an object
Sound made up of vibrations in our surroundings that we can hear
Sound wave an alternating area of high and low air pressure that transmits energy through a medium such as a solid, liquid or gas
Motion:
Motion the changing of position
Inertia the tendency of a moving object to keep moving or of a still object to stay still
Force a push or pull on an object
Gravity the force of attraction between objects
Friction the force that opposes motion
Matter:
Matter anything that has mass and takes up space
Physical properties are things you can observe with your senses
Character tic properties are properties that do not change, such as boiling and melting point
Conductor a material that energy travels easily or quickly through
Mixture a collection of materials without being joined together, such as chex mix.
Solution a type of mixture in which the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together, such as lemonade
D solve when a substance separates into particles that are too small to be seen
