Limb (n) One of the jointed appendages of an animal used for locomotion or grasping: arm, leg Someone from the football team broke one of his limbs.
Jut (v.) The act of projecting out from something The water jutted out of the pipe as soon as the valve was turned.
Scramble (v.) Bring into random order; to move hurriedly; stir vigorously Everyone scrambled across the park when they heard gun shots.
Fleck (n) A small contrasting part of something; a small fragment of something broken off from the whole We found a fleck of glass from the sunken submarine.
Brim (n) The top edge of a vessel or other container She poured too much in to the glass, now it's filled to the brim.
Descend (v) Move downward and lower, but not necessarily all the way As the day ends the flags descended the poles.
Linoleum (n) A floor covering The newly purchased house needed some new linoleum.
Strut (v) To walk with a lofty proud gait, often in an attempt to impress others She strutted across the catwalk to showcase some new clothes.
Totter (v) Move without being stable, as if threatening to fall She was then dizzy because she hadn't drank any water and began to totter.
Tavern (n) A building with a bar that is licensed to sell alcoholic drinks So she went to the tavern to drink some beer.
Canteen (n) A flask for carrying liquid She had brought her canteen and filled it up with some liquor.
Spartan (n) A resident of Sparta Now leaving the tavern she saw a spartan.
Anemia (n) A deficiency of red blood cells; a lack of vitality Apparently that Spartan had anemia.
