mass the amount of matter in an object measured in grams
latitude flat lines on a globe that measure degrees north and south of the equator

neap special tide that occurs when the sun and moon are at right angles to each other and the high tides are lower than usual
estuary area where salt water and fresh water meet; also called a sound or a bay
tide periodic rise and fall of ocean level caused by the moon's gravity; 2 high and 2 low per day
wave wind causes water to crash into the shore every few seconds
