What is the inner layer of the heart called? The endocardium
What does the endocardium consist of? endothelial tissue
Where is the endocardium loacted? It lines the inside of the heart and valves
What is the middle layer of the heart called? myocardium
What does the myocardium consist of? muscle fibers
What is the myocardium responsible for? The pumping action
What is the exterior layer of the heart? epicardium
What encases the heart? The pericardium
What are the two layers of the Pericardium? Visceral pericardium and parietal pericardium
