Carpetbagger a northerner who moved to the South after the Civil War to take advantage of southerners in business and government
Scalawag a southerner who supported the Republicans during Reconstruction
Suffrage women’s right to vote

Integration desegregation or non-separation of different races, especially between blacks and whites
