What are asteroids? Pieces of a broken planet

What is the order of the planets from the Sun? 1. Mercury, 2. Venus, 3. Earth, 4. Mars, 5. Jupiter, 6. Saturn, 7. Uranus, 8. Neptune
What are the similarities of the inner planets? Compositon: iron and nickel cores, mantles, and crust
What are comets? Orbit the sun and are made up of frozen gas
What are meteoroids? Are left over pieces of a comet's tails floating in space
What is a Meteor? When the pieces enter the Earth's atmosphere where the burn up.
What is it called when occasionally a Meteor strikes the Earth? Meteorite
What is a Solstice? When the sun is at its most northern point(over the Tropic of Cancer)or at its most southern point ( over the Tropic of Cancer
What is the Impact theory? States that the Moon formed when a large object struck the Earth and material from inside the Earth was ejected out in space and this material formed the moon.
