What evidence is there that Whashington supported the idea theat the President should not be all-powerful? The evidence Whashington thought the President shouldn't be all powerful is that he set up a cabinet to help him make decisions, and he wanted to set a good example for the future leaders.
What message was Whashington trying to convey when he warned against the destructives spirit of political parties? He wanted the member of each party to get along with each other. He belived party desagreements could weaken the government and create politial enemies. Whashington argued that everyone should work together for the overal good of the country.
What facts support the conclusion that Jefferson was not a Federalist? Jefferson was not a Federalist because he wanted the government to be in the hand of the people. He felt that the Federalist had to much power. To change things he cut taxes and reduced the size of the armed forces.
What series of events led to the Louisiana Purchase? At the end of the 1700's, Spain claimed a vast area of land west of the Mississippi River known as Louisiana. This land included New Orleans. In 1803, President Thomas Jefferson James Monroe to by New Orleans and ended up bying the hole Louisiana Region.
