TermDefinition
Quick Access Toolbar A toolbar that allows you to save, undo, or redo.
Title Bar Identifies the name of the software and the document file name.
Close Button Allows you to quickly exit the software
Ruler Displays at below the ribbon, can be used to set tabs.
Insertion Point A vertical blinking line. It indicates where text will appear when you start typing.
Document Window Represents a sheet of paper. Where your text appears.
Status Bar Appears at the bottom of the Document Window. Gives information about your document. It also allows you to change the document view.
Horizontal Scroll Bar Appears above the Status Bar. Used to display document text not in view on either the right or left side of the window
Vertical Scroll Bar Appears to the right of the Document Window. Used to display document text not in view at the top or bottom of the Document Window.
Ribbon Appears just below the Title Bar. Consist of tabs, groups, and commands. It's one method of giving commands to the computer.
View Buttons Located on the Status Bar. Used to change the view of the document.
Zoom Slider Located on the Status Bar. Used to change the magnification of the document.
