Describe visual merchandising. What's its primary purpose? All the physical elements merchandisers use to project an image to customers; Encourage purchasing and enforce customer satisfaction
What is one visual merchandising element that influences customer behavior more directly than any other? Interior Displays
Differentiate realistic, semi-realistic, and abstract displays. Realistic- It depicts a room area or recognizable locale Semi-realistic- suggests a room or locale but leaves the details to the viewer's imagination Abstract- does not imitate, or try to imitate reality
What do you call colors that are next to each other on the color wheel? adjacent colors
What is considered customer space? seating, lounges, recreation areas
Name the four parts of a print ad. Explain how each part contributes to the ad's effectiveness. Headline- attracts readers, sparks interest, gets them to look at the illustration and copy Copy-represents selling message in an ad Illustration- photograph, drawing, or other graphical elements in ads (meant for holding attention & encouraging action)

Describe lines of force. It's a component of an ad layout in which the best ads(containing a focal point and lines of force guides reader to the copy through illustrations an photographs)
What is an advertising spoof? A representation of an ad that shows exactly how it will appear in print
