Identifying Formulas and Solving for Volume

What is the formula for finding the volume of a rectangular prism? V = L * W * H
What formula would you use to find the volume of a pyramid? V = 1/3B*h
To find the volume of a cylinder, you would use what formula? V = pi * r^2 * h
A cone represents 1/3 of what figure? Cylinder
What is the formula for finding the volume of a cone? V = 1/3pi * r^2 * h
How are the diameter and radius of a circle related? The radius represents half of the diameter
What is the volume formula for a triangular prism? V = 1/2L * W * H
Find the volume of a rectangular prisms with a length of 4 inches, width of 3 inches, and height of 5 inches. V = 60 cubic inches
Volume answers what question? How many cubic units an object can hold, or how many cubic units it would take to fill an object.
Find the volume of rectangular prism with a length of 6 yards, width of 2 yards, and height of 4 yards. V = 48 cubic yards
The volume of a rectangular prism is 720 cubic centimeters. If the length is 9 cm and the height is 10 centimeters, what is the width? w = 8
Find the volume of a cylinder with a radius of 4 feet and a height of 6 feet. (Use 3.14 for pi) V = 301.44 cubic feet
What is the volume of a cylinder with a diameter of 2.4 m and a height of 5 m? (Use 3.14 for pi) V = 22.608 cubic meters
The volume of a cylinder is 471 cubic inches. If the height of the cylinder is 6 inches, what is the radius? r = 5
What is the volume of a cone with a radius of 3 yards and a height o 9 yards? (Use 3.14 for pi) V = 84.78 cubic yards
What is the volume of a pyramid with base edges of 15 m and a height of 24 m? V = 1800 cubic meters
You are making a stadium cushion. The foam for the cushion costs $0.90 per cubic foot. If the length of the cushion is 1.5 feet, the width is 1.5 feet, and the height is 0.5 feet, how much will it cost for the foam? (Round to the nearest cent) $1.01
