consistent | a system of equations that has a least one solution. |
inconsistent | a system of equation that has no solution. |
independent | a system of equations that have exactly one solution. |
dependent | if it has an infinite number of solution |
substitution method | a method of solving a system of equation in which one equation is solved for one variable in terms of the other |
elimination method | eliminate one of the variables in a system of equations by adding or subtracting the equations |
system of inequalities | a set of inequalities with the same variable |
constraints | condition given to variables, often expressed as linear inequalities |
