QuestionAnswer
CELL THEORY the major princilples of the cell theory are the following:all organisms are made of cells. all existing cells are produced by other living cells. the cell is the most basic unit of life.
CYTOLASM is a jellylike substance that contains dissolved molecular building blocks such as proteins, nucleic acids, minerals, and ions.
ORGANELLE in some types of cells, the cytoplasm also contains organelles,to perform distinct processes within a cell.
PROKARYOTIC CELL do not have or other membrane bound organelles
EUKARYOTIC CELL have a nucleus and the other membranebond organelles
cytoskeletion each eukaryotic cell has a cytoskeletion which is a network of proteins that is constantly changing to meet the needs of a cell.
nucleus is the storehouse for most of the genetic informaTION, OR DNA IN YOUR CELL
endoplasmic reticulum the er is an interconneted network of thin foldedmembrances
ribosomes tiny organelles that link amino acids togther to form memebrance
golgi apparartus consists of closely larged stacks of membrance -enclosed spaces that process ,soft, and deliver protein
vesicles are a genearl names used to describe small membrance bond socs that divide some materials from the rest of the cytoplasm and transpot these materials from place to place to plance within cells.
mitochondria supplyenergy to the cell
vacuole is a fuild filled sac used for the storage of materircals are bean shaped and have two memebrances
lysosome are membrane bonded organelles that contain enzymes.
ccentroles are cylinder shaped organelles made of short micotubles arranged in a circle.
cell wall is a rigid layer taht gives protection, support, and shape of the cell
chloroplast are organelles taht carry out photosyhthesis, a series of complex cheamical reactions that covert solar enegry into energy rich molecules the cell can use.

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
