What is a hyperlink? | A system for storing information using embedded references to other pages, sounds, and graphics used on the WWW. |

What is a RSS feed? | Stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently update works. |
What is a search engine? | Programs that search documents for specified keywords and returns a list of the document where the keywords were found. Examples are Google.com, Yahoo.com, and Ask.com. |
What is a tag? | A keyword or term assigned to a piece of information such as a internet bookmark, digital image or computer file. |
What is a URL? | The address of a website on the world wide web. |
What is a web browser? | A software application for retrieving, presenting and traversing information resources on the WWW. Examples are Firefox, Interent Explorer, and Safari. |
What is a webpage? | A document that is suitable for the WWW and can be accessed through the web broswer and displayed on a monitor or mobile device. |
What is a website? | A set of related web pages containing content such as text, images, video, audio, etc. |
What is a wiki? | A web site that was developed collaboratively by a community of users, allowing any user to add and edit content. It provides a forum for people to brainstorm, edit, revise and publish their effort. Wikipedia is an example. |
