QuestionAnswer
Test Tube It is a container that is used to hold small amounts of liquids.
Petri Dish It is used for growing and viewing microorganisms.
Triple Beam Balance It is used to weigh the mass of something in grams.
Flask It is used for holding or mixing chemincals-this container measures at a ball park estimate.
Graduated Cylinder It is used to measure the volume of liquid in ml.
Hand Lens This item is used to magnify objects.
Atom It is the smallest particle into which an element can be divided and still have the same properties of that element.
Element It is part of the building blocks of matter that is made up of one kind of atom.
Nucleus It is the center of an atom that is made up of protons and neutrons.
Electron Shell The Electron Shell is the region in the atom where electrons are found.
Proton It is a positively charged particle located in the nucleus of an atom/
Neutron It is a neutral charge located in the nucleus of an atom.
Electron It is a negatively charged particle that is found in the Electron Shell of an atom.
Atomic Number It is the average mass of one atom of an element.
Atomic Mass It is the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom.
Valence Electron It is electrons in the most outer ring with the most energy level that determines the chemical properties of an element.
Force Force is a push or a pull
Friction it is the force that opposes motion between two surfaces that are in contact with each other.
Thrust It is a strong push that quickly acclerates an object.
Net Force It is the combining of all forces on an object.
Balanced Force All forces of an object are equal and opposite of each other.
Unbalanced Force All forces acting on a object are not equal.
