QuestionAnswer
Is a graphical representation of data. Chart
Uses bars of varying heights to illustrate values in a worksheet. Column
Shows the relationship of a part to a whole. Pie Chart
Is similar to the column chart, but columns are replaced by points connected by a line. Line Chart
Sometimes called a xy chart, shows the relationship between two categories of data. Scatter Chart
Is stored in a range of cells in the worksheet. Data Source
Is a group of related information in a column or row of a worksheet that is plotted on the chart. Data Series
In the center of the worksheet. Embedded Chart
Which are indicated by the black dots at the corners and sides of the selected chart. Sizing Handles
Which is a separate sheet in the workbook that stores a chart. Chart Sheet
The entire chart and all other chart elements. Chart Area
The graphical representation of all of the data series. Plot Area
A symbol ( such as a bar,line,dot,slice,and so forth)that represents a single data point or value from the corresponding worksheet cell. Data Maker
Text or numbers that provide additional information about a data marker, such as the value from the worksheet cell. Data Label
A list that identifies patterns,symbols,or colors used in a chart. Legend
A grid that displays the data plotted in the chart. Data Table
A selected chart element that is surrounded. Selection Box
Specifies which elements are included in a chart and where they are placed. Chart Layout
Formats the chart based on the colors,fonts and effects associated with the workbook's theme. Chart Style
A horizontal or vertical line that establishes the relationship between data in a chart. Axis
