What caused Hurricane Sandy? From a tropical wave in the western Caribbean sea. It was quickly strengthened and became tropical storm sandy.
Which cities and regions were affected by Hurricane Sandy? Atlantic city, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, North Caroline, coast of US, Connecticut, New Hampshire, lower Manhattan, Jamaica and Haiti.
How many people where affected? More than 100 people died and millions of people were affected.
What kind of damage was caused? Buildings were destroyed, people lost their homes, boats, cars and trees tipped over and floods occured.
What warning were put in place before Hurricane Sandy hit? There were continuous warnings over the news telling everyone to evacuate from their homes. All airports were closed. They opened evacuation centres and closed schools.
