Ondansertron (prototype) -Drug to block vomitting -Serotonin 5HT3 antagonist
Ipecac syrup (prototype) -Emetic agents -causes vomitting
Metoclopromide (prototype) -GI Stimulants -Blocks dopamine receptors and enchances cholinergic effects on GI -Indicated for diabetic gastropareses, GERD, nausea, and vomitting
Pancrelpase -Digestive enzymes -indicated for cystic fibrosis, pancreatic cancer, etc. -Contains replacement amylases, lipases, and protoeases
Orlistate -Lipase inhibitors -Used to manage obesity -Blocks lipase metabolism of fat. Decreases absorption of fat soluable vitamins (A, D, K, E)
Milk of Magnesia (prototype) -Constipation -Anacid to clear bowels -Pulls water to intestines
Alosertron (prototype) -IBS -Only used in women
Diphenoxylate with atropine (prototype) -Diahrrea -Slows intestinal motility
