Affirmative Action Policy that focuses on achieving equality of opportunity within an organization.
At Will Employment Employment in which the employer is free to dismiss any employee for any reason at all, or no reason, and the employee is equally free to quit work.
Benefits Non-wage, non-salary forms of compensation paid for by and organization for its employees.
Collective Bargaining Negotiations between management and employes about disputes over compensation, benefits, working conditions, and job security.
Flextime Consists of flexible working hours, or any schedule that gives one some choices in working hours.
Job Specification The minimum qualifications a person must have to perform the job successfully.
Networking The process of interacting with others outside and inside the organization in order to build relationships.
Performance Appraisals When a manager assesses an employee's performance and provides feedback.
Selection Process A process that screens job applicants to hire the best candidate.
Sexual Harassment Unwanted sexual attention that creates an adverse work environment.
Staffing The recruitment, hiring, motivating, and retention of valuable employees.
