What is blended learning? A blending of traditional face-to-face instruction and online learning.
How is TeacherTube and SchoolTube like YouTube? All three of them have videos that people go to for information or social purposes. TeacherTube and SchoolTube are used more for educational purposes compared to YouTube.
What does an e-portfolio allow a student to do? Allows students to place work they have completed, or resources they have gathered, in a web-based portfolio. Allows teachers and students to track growth and understanding.
What is a podcast? It is a digital media file delivered over the Internet.
Why are Open-source materials so useful? They are useful because they are developed by a community of programmers and are distributed for free through the Internet.
What are the 5 parts that WebQuests consist of? An interesting introduction, a task description explaining the purpose and outcomes of the quest, steps to follow during the quest and resources to be used, evaluation consisting of rubrics and assessment guidelines, and a conclusion to provide closure.
What are the 5 stages of integrating technology into a classroom? The entry stage, adoption stage, adaption stage, appropriation stage, and invention stage.
If you live in a poor income household, are you more or less likely to have a variety of technologies? Less likely.
What percent of public schools report having full-time staff in the school whose only responsibility is technology support? 31 percent
What do students in GenYES do? Students in grades 4-12 partner with classroom teachers to develop technology-infused lessons.
