Line | Series of points that extends in two directions without end. |
Intersecting lines | Two lines that have exactly one point in common. |
Skew lines | Lines that do not intersect, are not parallel and do not lie in the same plane. |
Adjacent Angles | Angles that share a vertex and have a common side. |
Vertical Angles | Angles formed by two intersecting lines, are opposite each other and are congruent. |
Congruent Angles | Angles that have the same measure. |
Supplementary Angles | Two angles that sum to 180 degrees. |
Complementary Angles | Two angles that sum to 90 degrees. |
Transversal | A line that intersects two other lines. |
Corresponding Angles | Angles that lie on the the same side of the transversal and in corresponding positions. |
Alternate Interior Angles | Angles in the interior of a pair of lines and on opposite sides of the transversal. |
Plane | A flat surface with no thickness that extends in all directions. |
Segment | A part of a line that has 2 endpoints. |
