formula | is a rule that shows the relationship between two or more quantities. |

greatest common factor | is the greatest number that is a factor of all the numbers. |

least common denominator | is the least common multiple (LCM) of the denominator |

least common mutliple | is the smallest number that is a multiple of both numbers. |

multiplicative inverse | the reciprocal of a number |

power | is a number that can be expressed using a base and an exponent. |

prime factorization | writing a composite number as the product of its prime factors. |

prime number | is a whole number with exactly two factors 1 and the number itself. |

rational number | is any number written as a quotient of two integers where the denominator is not 0. |

reciprocals | two numbers if their product is 1. |

relatively prime | a fraction is in simplest form |

scientific notation | is a number if the first factor is greater than or equal to 1 and less than 10, and the second factor is a power of 10. |
