Ratio Facts

Ratio,Rate and Percent

QuestionAnswer
What are similar rectangles? Rectangles that have the same shape but not necessarily the same size.
What are equivalent ratios? Two or more ratios that represents the same comparison.
What is the definition for a term? The number that represents a quantity in a ratio.
What is a scale factor? A number that you can multiply or divide each term in a ratio by to get the equivalent terms in anthor ratio it can be a whole number or a decimal.
what is a proportion? A number sentence that shows two equivalent ratios.
What is a rate? A comparison of two quanties measured in different types of units unlike ratios,rates include units.
What are equivalent rates? Rates that represent the same comparison.
