Alegebra Is a language of symbols,, including variables.

Base is the number used as a factor.
Composite Number A number greater than one with more than 2 factors.
Cubed Cubed is to the third power.
Defining the Variable choosing a variable to represent the input when writing a function rule.
Equals Sign A symbol of equality
Equation Is a sentence that contains an equal sign
Evaluate To find the value of an algebraic expression by replacing variables with numerals.
Exponet indicates how many times the base is used as a factor
Factor a number that divides into a whole number with a remainder of zero
Factor a combination of numbers and operations
Formula is an equation that shows a relationship among certain quantities
Function is a relationship that assigns exactly one output value to one input value
Function Table a table organizing the input,rule,and output of a function
Order of Operations the rules that tell which operation to preform first when more than one operation is used
Formula a number that can be expressed using an exponent

Solve to replace a variable that results in a true sentence
Squared a number multiplied by itself
Variable a symbol,usually a letter, used to represent a number
Prime Number a whole number that has exactly 2 factors, 1 and itself
