What are the parts of a variable term? | 1. Variable 2. Coefficient 4x x is the variable, 4 is the coefficient. |

What is a numeric term also called or referred to as? | The constant. |

Define like terms. | Terms that contain the same variable(s). |

Define how to simplify expressions. | Combine like terms by adding the coefficients of the like terms. |

State an equation and show the parts of that equation. | x+2y-8 x, 2y, -8 |

State an equation and identify the variable, coefficient, and constant. | x-5 Variable: x Coefficient: 1 Constant: -5 |
