What are the Elements or Design? Line, Texture, Shape, and Color
What are the Pinciples of Design? Balance, Proportion, Emphasis, Rythem, and Harmony
What is the Principle of Repition? The variable being repeated
How does Texture affect Color? It can either increase or decrease your body size
What do curved lines suggest? It's gentle, Romantic, Fragile, Soft, Casual, Feminine, Graceful, and Sensual
What do Diagnol lines suggest? Active, Movement, Interesting, Action, Sophisticated
What type of textures increase a persons body size? Shiny. Thick, Bulky , Fuzzy, or Wrinkled
What are the three types of rhythm? Repition, Gradation, and Radiation
What is asymmetrical balance? Example? When the opposite sides are the same, but slightly different. If one side had a button and the other didnt but they were both the same shape.
What is the difference between horizontal and vertical lines? horizontal is straight across and verticle is up and down.
What does harmony mean, how is it achieved? Harmony is the goal of design all parts of the design look as if they belong together. Its achieved by the elements and priciples working together
What are the two things texture involves? Tactile and Visual
What are the four types of line? Cuved, Verticle, Horizontal, and Diagnol
What is proportion? Is how the size of one part relates to the size of another part.
What is symmetrical balance? Example? Symmetrical is the same exact design, shape, color, line, and texture as the other side has.
What is emphasis? What is another name for it? Emphasis is the focal point of fashion another name is focal point.
What is another name for symmetrical balance? Formal Balance
What is another name for asymmetrical balance? Informal Balance
What is the difference between gradation and radiation? Gradation is going smaller to bigger or bigger to smaller .
If the elements of design are considered the "tools", what are the principles of design considered? It would be considered rules
