What is light? Light is a form of energy
What is rectilinear propagation of light? Light always travels in a straight line
Ray model of light light is represented by a straight line or ray
What do you mean by transmit? Pass through
What do you mean by reflect? Bounce back into the same medium
What do you mean by absorb? Get trapped in it
What is a transparent material? Allows light to pass through freely. Only a small amount of light is absorbed or reflected
What is a translucent material? allows most rays to pass through, but the rays are scattered in all directions
what is an opaque material? Prevents any light from passing through it. it will only absorb or reflect light
what is a shadow? A shadow is an area where direct light from a light source cannot reach due to obstruction by an object.
what is the relationship between the size of shadow and distance of object from light source? the farther an object from a source of light, the smaller its shadow will be
