What does PEMDAS Stand for? Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract
What is the 1st step in the Order of oprations? Evaluate the expressions inside grouping symbols. ()or[]
How many steps does PEMDAS, mean four
What is the 2nd step of Order of operations? Evaluate all powers/exponents Example 5^2 = 25
What is the 3rd step of Order of operations? Multiply and/or divide from left to right
What is the 4th step of Order of operations? Add and/or subtract from left to right
Example: 22 + 3 x 7 43
Example: 10 + (8^3 ÷ 16) 42
Example: (11 x 7) - 9 x 8 5
What is the saying we use to remember the Order of operations? Please, Excuse, My Dear, Aunt, Sally (PEMDAS)
