DCV Fundamentals

The purpose of a DCV is to? Stop, Start, Change Direction and Regulate Speed.
DCV operators could be? Lever, Solenoid, Push Button, Pilot operators
A detent on a DCV allows the operator to? Lock the Valve in position to allow hands free operation.
A Pilot operated DCV can be controlled by? Electric and Hydraulically controlled.
A Mobile DCV may contain Load check Valve, Circuit Relief, and Anticavitation valve.
On a Cylinder spool metering notches allow the operator to? Feather the actuator lightly allowing for safe and precise control of the implement.
On a Closed center DCV all four ports are? Blocked stopping flow in all port paths.
On an Open Center DCV all four Ports are? Open to one another allowing flow in all port paths.
We refer to a Center configuration that utilizes P and T ports open to one another and work ports A and B closed as a? Tandem Center Valve.
We refer to a DCV that has ports A, B and T open to one another and port P closed as a? Float Center Valve.
A tandem Center valve will? Block the work ports locking the cylinder into position.
A Float position in a DCV allows an operator to? relieving the pressure on both sides of the cylinders allowing the implement to follow the contour of the ground.
