What does the greater omentum attach to? Greater curvature of the stomach and the 1st part of the duodenum

Where would you find the omental bursa? Under the stomach
What is the lesser omentum derived from? The ventral mesogastrium
Where does the lesser omentum attach? Attaches to the lesser curvature of the stomach, the inferior surface of the liver and the first part of the duodenum
What are the two main ligaments derived from the lesser omentum? The hepatogastric and hepatoduodenal ligaments
The free lateral edge of the hepatoduodenal ligament contains what? The hepatic artery proper, the bile duct and the portal vein
What vessels feed and run between layers of the lesser omentum? Right and left gastric vessels
What does the Mesentery attach to? Connects posterior jejunum and ileum to the posterior abdominal wall, attaches to the duodenojejunal junction and ends at the ileocaecal junction.
What level does the oesophagus arise? C6
What level does the oesophagus pierce the diaphragm? T10
What is the oesophageal plexus made up from? Anterior vagus trunk (from left vagus) and posterior vagal trunk (from right vagus)
What are the three muscle layers of the stomach? Circular, transverse and oblique
The folds on the inner wall of the stomach are called what? Rugae
What are the 4 layers of the GIT? Mucosa, submucosa, muscularis externa, serosa
Name the 4 regions of the stomach Cardia, fundus, body and pylorus (antrum and canal)
