pressue gradient | the flow rate of a blood through a vein is directly proportionatal to the difference between the pressures at teh two ends of the vein. |
preload | the degree to which the ventricles are stretched by the end diastolic volume |
contractility | strength of the cardiac muscle contraction. |
afterload | the back pressure generated by the blood in the aorta and the pulmonary trunk. |
