Concurrent | When 3 or more lines intersect in one point. |
Point of Concurrency | The point at which concurrent lines intersect. |
Circumcenter | Point of concurrency of the perpendicular bisectors of a triangle. |
Circumscribed Circle | A circle whose center is the circumcetner of a triangle and whose radius is the distance from the circumcenter to a vertex of the triangle. A circumbscribed circle is OUTSIDE of the triangle. |
Incenter | The point of concurrency of the angle bisectors of a triangle. |
Inscribed Circle | A circle whose center is the incenter of a triangle and whose radius is the distance from the incenter to the side of the triangle. An insribed circle is INSIDE of the triangle. |
Median | A segment whose endpoints are a vertex and the midpoint of the opposite side of a triangle. |
Centroid | The point of concurrency of the medians of a triangle. |
Altitude | The perpendicular segment from a vertex of a triangle to the line containing the opposite side. |
Orthocenter | The point of concurrency of the lines containing the altitudes of a triangle. |
