relative frequency | The number of times an outcome occurred in a probability experiment |

biased sample | A sample in which one or more parts of the population are favored over others |
convenience sample | A sample that includes members of the population that are easily accessed |
population | The entire aggregation of items from which samples can be drawn |
random sample | A sample in which every element in the population has an equal chance of being selected |
simple random sample | Sample of which each group member has an equal chance of being chosen |
stratified random sample | The population is divided into categories and a random sample drawn from each of the categories. |
systematic random sample | A sample in which the items in the sample are selected according to specified time or item interval |
voluntary response sample | A sample that involves only those who want to participate |
