Question | Answer |
Acute Angle | An angle whose measure is between 0 and 90. |
Angle | Formed by two rays with the same endpoint. |
Angle Bisector | A ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles. |
Collinear Points | Points that lie on the same line. |
Congruent Angles | A ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles. |
Congruent Segments | Segments with the same length. |
Conjecture | A conclusion reached though inductive reasoning. |
Coordinate | A point on a line or plane. |
Coplanar | Points and lines in the same plane. |
Counter Example | Enough to disprove a conjecture. |
Inductive Reasoning | Reasoning based on observed patterns. |
Line | Has length but no width or thickness. It extends without end in TWO directions. |
Midpoint | A point that divides a segment into two congruent segments. |
Obtuse Angle | Angle more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees. |
Opposite Rays | Rays that start at the same point and go in opposite directions. |
Parallel Lines | Are coplanar lines that do not intersect. |
Perpendicular Lines | Lines that intersect to form a right angle. |
Plane | A flat surface that has no thickness. It extends without end in all directions. |
Point | Has no length, width, or thickness, but has a position or location. |
Postulate | A statemnemt accepted to be true without proof. |
Ray | Part of a line that consists of an initial point and all points on the line that lie on one side of the initional point. |
Right Angle | 90 degree angle. |
Segment | Part of a line consisting of two points. |
Skew Lines | Are NONcoplanar lines. Therefore, they are not parallel and do not intersect. |
Space | The boundless 3-dimensional set of all points. |
