Term | Definition |
Two Dimensional | Shapes that only has two dimensions such as width and height. |
Hierarchy | A series of ordered groupings of people or things within a system. |
Subcategory | A second category. |
Acute Angle | An angle less than 90 degrees. |
Equivalent | Having the same value. |
Line Segment | The part of a line that connects two points. |
Obtuse Angle | Angle that is more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. |
Parallel Lines | Two lines on a plane that never meet. They are always the same distance. |
Properties | A character or quality that something has. |
Right Angle | An angle which is equal to 90 degrees. |
Vertex | A point where two or more straight lines meet. |
Water Cycle | The process in which water passes into the atmosphere as water vapor , precipitates to earth in liquid or solid form , and returns to the atmosphere through evaporation. |
Runoff | The draining away of water from the surface of an area of land. |
Transpiration | Process by which moisture is carried through plants from roots to small pores on the underside of leaves, where it changes to vapor and is released to the atmosphere. |
Qualitative | Measuring the value of something. |
Quantitative | Measuring how many. |
