Term | Definition |
Factor | Factors are numbers you can multiply together to get another number |
Multiple | The result of multiplying a number by an integer (not by a fraction). |

Numerator | The top number in a fraction. Shows how many parts we have. |
Denominator | The bottom number in a fraction. Shows how many equal parts the item is divided into |
Reciprocal | Another name for Reciprocal. When you multiply a number by its "Multiplicative Inverse" you get 1. |
Inverse (invert) | Opposite in effect. The reverse of. |
Divisor | The number you divide by |
Mixed Numbers | A whole number and a fraction combined into one "mixed" number. |
Product | The answer when two or more numbers are multiplied together. |
Quotient | The answer after you divide one number by another |
GCF | The highest number that divides exactly into two or more numbers. |
