Term | Definition |
Polygon | A shape with straight sides |
Quadrilateral | A shape with 4 straight sides |
Interior angle | Any of the angles formed at the corners inside a shape |
Parallel | Lines that never move towards or away from each other. |
Theoretical | The probability of an event based on the knowledge of the number of outcomes possible. |
Pentagon | A shape with 5 straight sides |
Parallelogram | A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides |
Reflex | An angle larger than 180 degrees |
Perpendicular | Lines that meet at a right angle |
Experimental | Data that is collected through actual observation or trials |
Denominator | The bottom number of a fraction |
Numerator | The top number of a fraction |
Hexagon | A shape with 6 straight sides |
Rhombus | A quadrilateral with 4 equal sides and two pairs of equal angles |
Acute | An angle smaller than 90 degrees |
Equilateral | A triangle with 3 equal sides |
Sample space | A diagram that we can use to list all of the possible outcomes of 2 events |

Biased | An event that has outcomes of different probabilities |
