Term | Definition |
Stereotype | To believe, unfairly, that all people or things with a particular characteristic are the same. |
Bias | A preference for one thing over another, especially an unfair one. |
Race | A human population distinguished as a distinct group by genetic physical characteristics. |
Ethnicity | A group of people who identify with each other based on nationality, culture, and family ancestry. |
Culture | The beliefs, customs, laws, art, and ways of living that a group of people share. |
Custom | A group pattern of an activity usually shared from one generation to another. |
Constitution | Fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed. |
Bill of Rights | The first ten amendments to the US Constitution, ratified in 1791 and guaranteeing such rights as the freedoms of speech, assembly, and worship. |
