Term | Definition |
Outcome | The possible result of an activity or experiment |
Event | A collection of outcomes from an activity |
Sample Space | The collection of all possible outcomes ffrom an activity or experiment |
Probablity | A description of how likely an event is to occur. |
Biased | A sample space in which one or more outcomes are favored. |
Mutally Exclusive | cannot happen at the same time |
Complement | a number or quantity of something required to make a group complete. |
Fair | An experiment in which the probablity of each outocme is the same. |
Venn Diagram | A diagram that uses circles to represent relationsips for simple events. |
Complement events | The compplement of an event E consists of all the outcomes in the sample space that are not in event E. |
