Term | Definition |
Acute Angle | An angle with a measure greater than 0 degrees and less that 90 degrees. |
Acute Triangle | A triangle having three acute angles. |
Adjacent Angles | Angles that have the same vertex, share a common side, and do not overlap. |
Complementary Angles | Two angles who's sum is 90 degrees. |
Congruent Angles | Angles that have the same measure. |
Equilateral Triangle | A triangle having three congruent sides. |
Isosceles Triangle | A triangle having at least two congruent sides. |
Obtuse Angle | Any angle that measures greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. |
Obtuse Triangle | A triangle having one obtuse angle |
Right Angle | An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees. |
Right Triangle | A triangle having one right angle. |
Scalene Triangle | A triangle having no congruent sides. |
Straight Angle | An angle that measures exactly 180 degrees. |
Supplementary Angles | Two angles who's sum measures 180 degrees. |
Triangle | A figure with three sides and three angles. |
Vertical Angles | Opposite angles formed by the intersection of two lines. These angles are congruent. |
