Permafrost | Permanently frozen subsoil underneath the tundra. |
Coniferous | Trees with needle leaves. |
Deciduous | Trees with broad leaves that lose their leaves in the fall. |
Savanna | A general term for grasslands located in the low latitudes that have a tropical wet and dry climate. |
