How do you convert pounds to kg? lbs/2.2
How do you convert inches to meters squared? in/ 0.0254 (squared)
When is someone physically active? Moderate cardio 30 min/ day, 5 days/wk OR Vigorous cardio 20 min/day, 3 days/wk
What is Type I diabetes? insulin dependent caused by lack of insulin secretion
What is Type II diabetes? Decreased sensitivity to insulin
When is impaired fasting glucose a risk factor? > 100 mg/dl on 2 separate occasions
What are the seven CAD risk factors? Family History, Smoking, Hypertension, Dyslipidemia, Impaired Fasting Glucose,Obesity, Physical Inactivity
When is family history a risk factor? Heart attack, heart surgery w/ revascularization, sudden death in first degree males <55 yrs, females <65 yrs
When is smoking a risk factor? Current or quit in the past 6 months
When is Dyslipidemia a risk factor?LDL >100 mg/dl OR HDL <40 mg/dl OR taking lipid lowering medication
When is hypertension a risk factor?SBP > 140 OR DBP >90 mm/Hg on 2 separate occasions
