interest | individuals who share a point of view about an issue sometimes unite to promote their beliefs |
public opinion roll | when individuals are requested to answer a survey |
pollster | conducts polls regularly |
print media | newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and books |

public agenda | government issues that receive the most time, money. and effort from the government leaders |
leak | secretly passing on information to friendly reporters about proposed actions |

libel | no one is free to publish false information that will harm someone's reputation |

public interest groups | groups that benefit all, or most of society |
nonpartisan | impartial group that educates voters about candidates and issues |
P.A.C | a group that collects money from the member of their groups and use it to support some candidates and oppose others |
lobbyist | representatives of interest groups who contact lawmakers or other government officials directly |
