What is a Type I error | Alpha error - Stating there is a difference when there isn't one |

What is a Type II error | Beta error - Stating that there is not a difference when there actually is one. |
What is power | (1-Beta) - probability of rejecting null hypothesis when it is in fact false, or the likelihood of finding a difference if one actually exists. |
what is accuracy? | How centered they are to the bulls-eye |
What is precision? | How close they are to each other |
what is random error? | reduced precision in a test |
what is Systematic error? | reduced accuracy in a test |
What do you use the t-test for | Checks the difference between the MEANS of 2 groups |
What do you use ANOVA for? | Checks the difference between the MEANS of 3 of more groups |
What is the Chi-square test used for? | Checks the difference between 2 or more percentages or proportions of categorical outcomes (not mean values) |
