Question | Answer |
Product of Powers | Keep the base and add the exponent. |
Quotient of Powers | Keep the base and subtract the exponents. |
Power of Powers | Keep the base and multiply the exponents. |
Negative Exponents | You turn it into a fraction by putting 1 on top and by putting the base with a positive exponent on the bottom. |
Zero Exponent | Anything to the zero power=1 |
Scientific Notation | One number in front of decimal; must be the base times the power of ten. |
Base | In a power, the number that is the common factor. 5*5*5 <----- Multiply the base by itself. |
Exponent | The number of times you multiply the base by itself |
Repeating Decimal | 0.333333333333333333333333 Decimal form of an rational number |
Terminating Decimal | .5680000000 A repeating decimal where the repeating number is 0. |
