Interventions for Metabolic Alkalosis   Initiate parenteral fluids as ordered, assess hepatic function, monitor ABG's, urine, pH, and BUN  
Interventions for Metabolic Acidosis   Initiate IV fluid replacement as ordered, assess for s/s of hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, alkalosis, Monitor ABG's & urine pH
